Sound54 News Oasis Back As Top Dogs - 09/07/02 Oasis are firmly back at the top of the British rock scene, after their new album Heathen Chemistry rocketed to the top of the album charts. The news filtered through as Oasis were playing the last stretch of their successful 3-day Finsbury Park gigs. Lead singer Liam Gallagher thanked the crowd personally during the event. Fears had circulated that album sales could be effected after the album was leaked onto the Internet several months ahead of its release. A situation that sparked a full-scale investigation at record company Big Brother Recordings. Meanwhile the band have announced two shows in Aberdeen at the Exhibition and Conference Centre on Monday 9th September and Tuesday 10th September.
